11th January, 2009

More footage of the howling, urinating, car door-slamming, brawling and bawling individuals who patronise Mango's. Police officers and Mango's security staff are nowhere in sight.

Friday 13th and Satuarday 14th February - both nights I was woken by speading cars travelling at high speeds down Pennington Street with their horns blowing and stereos on full volume. The pairing of the cobbled street and high walls of News International mean that the noise of these speeding cars are amplified further. As usual people going to and coming back from Mangos were raucous, shouting, fighting and with no regard for the residents. People were even sitting in their cars drinking in front of the Mangos door staff, this contradicts Mangos policy of keeping nuisance and noise to a minimum. On Sunday morning Pennington Steet and Artichoke Hill was full of smashed alcohol bottles, beer cans and McDonalds litter from people partying before and after Mangos.

I had the same experience too- I was awoken both Friday 13th and Saturday 14th. The saturday night was particularly bad, I was woken up several times an hour with people sat in their cars shouting and drinking during and after club opening hours. Cars lined both sides of pennington street (what are the yellow lines and motorcycle bays for?!) and people were coming and going from 9.30pm til 4am. The street was disgusting the next day- full of the usual litter that they've thrown out of their cars, mcdonalds wrappers, bottles (though thankfuly no vomit or used condoms as Ive seen in the past.)
