This video was shot around 04:00 am on the morning of Sunday 30 November with a mobile phone. This is exactly the kind of thing that wakes us up weekend after weekend. Shouting, car horns, cars zooming past, idiots jumping on the cars - in fact, compared to some weekends this is pretty mild. All the same, it should be clear that the people in the street have no regard whatsoever for anyone living here.
Why do the police not breathalyze all of these drivers? Are we to believe that they have limited themselves to mineral water?
No doubt in subsequent installments we will have the dubious pleasure of publishing clips of the mobile sound systems in action.
Bear in mind that this is merely a two minute clip. This sort of thing goes on for hours. It is particularly bad, as might be expected, around closing time but can start around 23:00 and carry on until 04:30 or thereabouts.

My girlfriend and I were subjected to this constant noise on Sunday morning from 2.30 onwards. My girlfriend also recorded this on her mobile phone; we will get this posted on the blog. Unfortunately we did not manage to record the shouting/ swearing and screaming that broke out at around 3.30 from two gangs of men right outside our window. Maybe we could ask the Times to see if they have this footage?
From the abuse on both Friday and Saturday night no “member of staff employed some distance from the premises to encourage the exiting patrons to leave the area quickly and quietly” even though this is within 250 metres of the premises! Im sure that even the club could hear this noise.
The street on Saturday and Sunday morning was littered with alcohol and plastic bottles as well as fast food wrappers.
We finally got to sleep at around 5am!!!
Can I ask that anyone who is subjected to this abuse every weekend to gather as much evidence as possible via mobile phone footage, pictures and call the police if they are disturbed.
My wife and I have been jolted awake by the noise and unable to get back to sleep with all the shouting, car horns, engine reving and stereos over this weekend as well. The past 3 weekends have been getting worse.
Why does the council think this is acceptable?
Why does it seem the police want to avoid this?
Disturbed all weekend by hooligans screaming and generally being anti social. As the previous note says this has been particularly bad for the past month.
Its good that we have a record of all this disturbance.

Noise from night of sat 13/12/08 was unbearable - woken up at 1am until 4.30am by screaming and car horns. One car bass at around 4.10am was the loudest thing I have ever heard, it shook my windows!
